If I had to pick one thing to eat twice a day for a week it would be rice cereal, so yummy and smelly. Ok ok I am kidding but the boys are doing a great job eating and playing with the idea of solids. They started to sleep for 6 hours at a time and made the motion of eating for a few days so we decided to try it out. The doctor said to try one baby at a time but seriously what planet does that guy live on?
I will confess that Henry (in white) has had rice cereal before but it just was a little to early for him to really enjoy it. So when we pulled out the bowl and spoon this time he was really excited and ready to give it another go. He will play with the spoon and spit a few bites out but of course he is never one to miss a meal.
Oliver (blue bib) so the first time he wasn't really sure what was going on, he had been making the motion of eating for sometime but when it came
time to eat he just wasn't quiet sure. BUT now he LOVES to eat and chew, he has started to chew on toys, towels, hands, my shoulder, we are hoping he isn't started to cut a tooth but if he is that is ok too.
What about Mommy and Daddy? Satomi came last Friday and we have been having a great time getting her settled in the Sadie Padie household. She treated us to a Japanese meal, miso soup, fish and rice yum yum yum.... Did you know that those spoons they give you to eat the soup with are Chinese spoons not Japanese? I bet all of the waitstaff at Japanese restaurants laugh every time Americans use them. The proper way is chopsticks, lets just say we got laughed at!
